Referral, Not Repair
Operationsscreen Plumbing is a referral service for homeowners in Philadelphia and the Philadelphia area. We do not fix pipes, clear drains or dig up sewer lines. Independent local providers do that work. Our part is smaller and simpler. We listen, match the problem to a provider, and help keep the first hour calm.
Why This Site Exists
A burst pipe or a backed-up drain is stressful. People are wet, rushed and unsure who to trust. Many grab the first name they see and agree to a price they never compared. That is how surprise bills happen.
This site gives you a clear next step and plain talk about money. Cold winters, freeze-thaw cycles and older homes with full basements make plumbing trouble common around here. A calm plan helps.
How Matching Works
You tell us what is going on. It might be an active leak, a stopped drain or a sewer smell in the basement. Your request is then routed to a provider in our network who handles that kind of job near you. After that, you talk with the provider directly.
Call hours vary by provider. Request a callback to check provider availability.
What We Expect From Providers
Providers are independent businesses. They set their own prices and schedules. We ask them to:
- Give a clear written quote before work starts
- Explain the problem and your options in plain words
- Hold the licenses and insurance that local rules require
- Treat your home with care
- Say so honestly if a job needs a different kind of specialist
What We Do Not Do
We do not do repairs. We do not employ the workers who show up. We do not set prices, and we do not promise how fast anyone arrives. We also do not decide insurance claims. Some policies may cover sudden damage, so check your policy. Providers can often help document damage for a claim.
How We Are Paid
Being open about money matters. Operationsscreen Plumbing may receive a fee from a provider when a request is routed to them. Your final price is set by the provider, not by this site. That is why comparing written quotes is smart.
A Budget Planner's Cheat Sheet
Typical U.S. ranges, which vary by job, home and region:
- Emergency plumbing visits: often a few hundred dollars, more for major repairs
- Drain clearing: roughly $150 to $600 for many clogs
- Sewer line repair: roughly $1,000 to $8,000 or more, depending on method and depth
One quote is a starting point. Two or three give you a real picture. Quote before work.
